American Made, Iron Clad Protected - Discover the Industries Best Warranty.
Steel Guard Safety offers industrial soundproof curtains that provide cost-effective solutions to minimize excessive noise in industrial environments. These acoustical curtain systems are designed to act as barrier walls or fully-enclosed systems, depending on the requirements. Each industrial soundproofing system is carefully designed to meet OSHA standards and the specific noise reduction, maintenance access, and ventilation needs of your facility.
Our noise control curtains are equipped with easy-to-use hanging grommets on top and hook-and-loop Velcro attachments on the sides, creating a modular solution that can be tailored to any width. They can function as stationary sound barriers around industrial machinery or as moveable barriers when paired with optional dual curtain track hardware (sold separately).

One of our most popular products, the Sound Shield SCC-10 and SCC-11 Combination Sound Blanket, plays a dual role by both blocking and absorbing sound. These sound barrier panel curtains are built with a mass-loaded vinyl core (1 lb/sq ft or 2 lb/sq ft) encapsulated by a 1-inch thick quilted fiberglass batting on both the front and back. This combination allows for robust soundproofing on both sides of the curtain. Ideal for tempering and blocking noise, these sound blanket curtains are commonly used as:
Fully Class 1 fire-rated, SCC-10 and SCC-11 Sound Shield Curtains protect against noise without compromising safety. Their design allows them to handle both sound absorption and sound attenuation for comprehensive industrial soundproofing.
For open industrial spaces where machinery cannot be entirely enclosed, sound-proofing solutions like Acoustic Ceiling Baffles and hanging baffles can significantly reduce sound pressure. These materials work by minimizing reverberation and echo in large rooms, preventing sound from bouncing off the ceiling and amplifying into the space. By reducing reverberation time, these sound-absorbing banners contribute to lower overall noise levels, creating a safer and quieter work environment.
Steel Guard Safety’s industrial soundproof curtains and sound-absorbing materials are engineered to address noise control challenges faced by industrial manufacturers, facility engineers, and safety managers. With a variety of customizable products, paired with expert curation to meet industry standards, we are committed to providing innovative and effective industrial soundproofing solutions for your facility.

Track System is mounted in from beams or trusses with a C-Clamp, and using a 3/8″ Threaded Rod to suspend down to the desired height. The Threaded Rod Track Mounts then slide over the threaded rod. Mount Spacing can be from 4′ -8′ with taller heavier systems over 25′ being 6′ or less usually
Track System is mounted in from beams or trusses with a C-Clamp, and using an S-Hook suspended down with chain to the desired height. The Track Mounts then connect the system with more S-hooks. Aircraft Cable is another option to use instead of chain. Mount Spacing can be from 4′ -6′ with taller heavier systems over 25′ being 6′ or less usually
Ceiling Mount Hardware is attached with lag bolts directly flush to ceiling, floor joists or to steel beams.
For the Wall Mount installation method, track mounts are attached to walls above openings, or you can use wall end brackets to brace or stabilize the track.
The Floor Mount System which is Free Standing, uses base plates at intervals anywhere from 4′ – 10′ depending on the height of the curtain system. The base plates attach to posts which connect to the floor mount splices.
A industrial soundproof curtain is a sound absorbing and blocking device mounted on ceilings, walls or open spaces covering areas in industrial, commercial, residential or construction sites for noise control. Sound Curtains may be referred to by other names, including soundproofing blankets, noise blankets, industrial sound curtains, or acoustic curtains, or industrial soundproof curtains.
Soundproof curtains are used as partition walls or enclosures in manufacturing spaces with machinery, to create cells or just absorb sound and lower the noise levels.
They can also be used in homes or other settings to block sound through doors and windows. Not all sound blankets are used for blocking sound and preventing noise from transferring outside of a space. Some primarily absorb sound to reduce noise and echo. The Amount of Noise Blocked Depends on the Variety of Substrates Used.
Industrial Soundproof Curtains are made of a 1 inch or 2 inch Fiberglass Batting quilted with a Vinyl Coated Fiberglass Cloth Plus the Addition of Mass Loaded Vinyl.
The Purpose of the Industrial Soundproof curtains is is to Absorb Sound Waves.
If you are looking to Block more Sound Waves a Sound Attenuation Curtain is needed, which adds Mass Loaded Vinyl (MLV) in addition to the Quilted Fiberglass Substrate.
The very best way is to do Audiometric Sound Testing to find out the Loudness in Decibals (Db) for the Frequency in Hertz (Hz) of the Sound Spectrum. Along with our Sound Transmission Class (STC) Ratings this will determine what Sound Blanket or Sound Curtain works best.
If you can not do a sound test with a meter, It is useful to go by the chart below to determine what Hertz (hz) are making the most decibels. For Louder Decibels below 500 hz, Mass Loaded Vinyl is usually needed.
There are several ways to mount your industrial soundproof curtains:
